The scene in the Issaquah Highlands

When I first moved to the Issaquah Highlands there was very little available for entertainment but holy cow, that’s changed!  Fast forward to 2015 and you can shop for nearly anything, hit the movies, and restaurant, get a night cap and chow on some Ben & Jerry’s before heading home.

I had at least six years here with just the basics, but the long term tenants were nothing to scoff at.

Cup with coffee and shape of the cacao heart on it.Caffe Ladro is still one of my favorite cafe’s in the county.  The staff is exceptional, and their nice corner location makes for a great place to people watch.  Agave Cocina & Tequilas has one of the finest tequila selections in the city (I was a tequila sales rep for years…. I actually do know this to be a fact!).  Here, Freddy and his brother Julian, who runs their other Redmond location, have created a very unique and delicious menu with such items as an asparagus, feta, mushroom enchilada.  It’s so good!  And, their prices are right on.

SIP wine bar is elegant and enjoyable and has a wine selection that is as magical as Agave’s Tequila selection.

the ramNew comers to the area include: Big Fish, The Ram Brewery, Regal Cinemas, Marshall’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Zumies, Ben & Jerry’s, and MOD’s pizza.  But that’s not it.  There’s Zeeks, a wonderful new Thai restaurant, UPS, Ulta, Safeway… the list goes on!   All walkable, clean and new.
